Recently I had the opportunity to teach several classes on Social Selling to a group of Customer Success Managers in Dublin, Ireland. The 1-hour course followed my P-P-F format.
Presentation: 30-minute, interactive lecture/discussion on best practices.
Practice: Engaged with a mobile device, implementing best practices to improves their SSI score.
Feedback: Continued notifications from LinkedIn network and improved win rate.
Courses I have facilitated include: Sales Academies, Train- the-Trainer, Management Styles, Team Leadership, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Having started my career in Education, I always enjoy the chance to speak in front of people regardless of age. I love the discussions, the questions, the "Ah-Ha!" moments, and even the random tangents that lead to more learning.
While my focus has been more on instructional design, it's always fun to remember my roots.
Training is often the answer when people aren't getting the results they wanted. However, training can only address a lack of skills or knowledge.
I've worked with HR teams to identify performance gaps that go beyond training and analyze issues regarding the organization itself as well an individual's wellness.
