I have played a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of many projects. Here you will find a couple examples.
This video was a joint effort between FMA, Underwriters Laboratories, NASA, and FIRST. It was created to answer a call for help to keep high school robotic teams safe before, during, and after competitions and was distributed online.
Grant Imahara from Mythbusters.
Back of the t-shirt: The prize for passing the safety quiz.
With Grant wearing the shirt quiz winners received.
Over the course of this project I coordinated three organization's efforts, editing an author's script, endless conference calls, flights from around the nation, two video crews, two days of filming, and we still had time for photos before getting Grant back to L.A.!
It took several months from conceptualization to see the final product.
Being familiar with marketing strategies, I often relied on my visual design skills to create appealing advertisements. Below is a mailer designed to recruit collegiate members for a metal forming association.
This is one of many pieces I developed while working with graphic designers.
This eight-panel full-bleed mailer, which went to hundreds of colleges throughout the nation, communicated the launch of a program that would partner community colleges to manufacturers. That partnership would assist in procuring equipment, provide real-world scenarios as learning opportunities, and give students access to a database of training used by professionals in the field.
Below are two of the most recent tools I've used to manage programs and projects. Others include MS Project, Smartsheets, and Jira.
"Having been able to work with Jake on projects..., I have seen firsthand how he truly is an expert in his field. He sets a high standard of excellence in everything he does and is a strong communicator as well. I know that Jake is not only a strong asset to any organization to which he is affiliated, but he has great leadership skills (which is evident in the way he conducts himself on-the-job). "
